Signs and Symptoms of OSA
Signs and symptoms of OSA are different among children and adults.
Adults
- Snoring
- Cessation of breathing while sleeping
- Gasping in sleep
- Mouth breathing
- Increase heart rate and/or blood pressure
- Night sweats
- Heartburn
- Fatigue
- Trouble concentrating
- Frequent headaches
Children
OSA in children shares the symptomology of other common disorders, such as ADHD. Often times, children are misdiagnosed with a behavioral disorder when they might have OSA.

- Sleepiness during the day, random bursts of energy at bedtime
